Caitlin Carroll is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Policy & Management at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

Her research focuses on health economics and health policy, with a particular interest in the productivity of health care providers. A broad goal of her work is to understand the appropriate role for public policy in promoting efficiency in health care markets. Her current projects study economics of rural health care markets, the influence of payment reform, and the effects of malpractice allegations against physicians.
